New adhesives and sealants as well as new application methods must be incorporated quickly and cost-effectively into a more efficient production.

The required preliminary examinations with applications close to production can be performed on suitable robot cells in cooperation with the SCA specialists at the SCA Innovation Centre.

The possibility offered by SCA Schucker of performing such tests in their own innovation centre is used extensively to simulate the production methods in the early planning stages. Required changes can already be introduced in this phase. Sample parts can be completed for evaluation, these parts are already produced to production standards in a production like environment accelerating the decision process for introducing a new technology significantly or simply evaluating production techniques for a particular material.

The Innovation Centre is utilised by adhesive manufacturers as well as by automobile manufacturers for limited trials and also for longer test procedures for evaluating new technologies. However, there is always the requirement for customers who have limited experience with adhesive and sealant applications yet and want to get to know the process and be confident before placing the order for the original components.
